Filing a deal dispute
Disputes go in the Deal Disputes section, never in DMs to staff. Staff decide only on evidence, so put everything in the first post.
Required
- A link to the accused member's OGU profile
- A link to the sales, buying or service thread, or the OGU PMs, where the deal started
- A clear summary: what was agreed, and what went wrong
- The date, and the amount or value
- Proof of payment: transaction IDs and blockchain links
- Complete, in-order screenshots from OGU, Discord and Telegram
- The identifiers they used: Discord ID, Telegram username and ID, payment addresses
Evidence that holds up
Good evidence
- Clear, readable screenshots in order, with enough context
- User IDs, timestamps, transaction IDs, wallet addresses and receipts
- Screen recordings that show a conversation or account is real
- Images uploaded to an image host (OGU prefers ImgBB), with every link checked
Proving who you dealt with
If the deal happened off-site, you must link that account to the OGU member. A matching display name or profile picture isn't proof. Use stable IDs, or contact details the member confirmed in an OGU post or PM. If you suspect an impersonator, show both the fake account and the real member's confirmed contact.
Never post
- Passwords, login codes, private keys or seed phrases
- Card details or home addresses
- Unrelated personal information. Redact anything that isn't needed.
Dispute rules
- OGU isn't responsible for deals between members.
- The deal must have started on OGU and be tied to an OGU member.
- Rep that accuses someone of scamming must link to your dispute.
- Editing, cropping or fabricating evidence can get you punished.
- Keep everything inside the thread, stay respectful, and answer staff questions.
- Badged Discord account disputes need real proof of a pullback, scam or ban, or they may be marked invalid.
Avoid: the scam database
Avoid is a scam-reporting service run alongside OGU. You can search reported users, read verified reports and their evidence, follow scam alerts on Telegram, and submit your own reports through a bot.
Before a deal
- Search the person on the Avoid site (scammer.gg).
- Compare stable identifiers, especially Telegram user IDs, not just usernames.
- Open the full report and judge the proof yourself.
Keep in mind
- A clean search doesn't mean someone is safe. It only means there's no verified report matching what you searched.
- Avoid doesn't replace an OGU deal dispute. If the deal started on OGU, file there too.
Appraisals
The Appraisals/Pricing section is for asking what something is worth: gamertags, Instagram accounts, Discord 3Cs and so on. It's not for selling.
- An appraisal is a rough estimate, not a fixed price. You can sell for whatever is reasonable.
- Only appraise in markets you actually know.
- Common requests include Discord 3C/4C, Instagram 4L, Kick OGs, Xbox gamertags, Minecraft 3L with capes, YouTube 3L handles, Snapchat names, and Roblox accounts.
- See the OG Index for how the factors that drive value fit together.
